Top Prospects 2009: Watch List
By Ron Jumper
After week 1, it is time to get some analysis going as to who the best players in the country are and who will be drafted in the first round of next years 2009 NFL draft. There are some guys who are obvious and some who I think will break out as the season progresses. Don’t call me crazy, because my unorthodox predictions usually come true.
For starters, I have to give Juice Williams some big time recognition. He is the best NFL QB prospect in college football without question. You can call me crazy, but Juice Williams will be a first round pick if he leaves early. Mark my words. Who else is 6’3 235 and has a cannon? Who else threw for 451 yards and 5 TDs against a top 10 team? Who else is one of the best all around athletes in the country in terms of speed and agility? You can think I’m crazy, but Williams is going to get on the scouts radar. Trust me. You heard it here first.
Now, I’m going to give some prospects I’m looking at from each position. Next week, I’ll give a ranking of all the prospects. However, for now, here is my watch list of players that I am watching.
