From 3-8-1 to 10-5 ATS, it was certainly a much improved week last week. It can take a little time to get a feel for the NBA landscape and, apparently, I’m no exception. It is also the start of college hoops, with a full slate of games daily from here on out. My specialty is the mid-majors, as I can’t wait for the CAA, MVC, and Sun Belt teams to get cranking. I’ve got my fingers crossed for another big week. Enjoy!

Overall Record: 21-24-1
NBA Record: 13-18-1
NCAAB Record: 8-6
Philadelphia 76ers (-5) cover vs. Memphis Grizzlies
Grizzlies have struggled on the road all season and that will continue here.
Oklahoma City Thunder (-3.5) cover vs. Washington Wizards
Quietly, this is one of the tougher places in the NBA to play.
Indiana Hoosiers (-3) cover vs. Boston Terriers
Hoosiers aren’t back at the top, but they can still beat the little guys.
Cornell Big Red (-2.5) cover vs. Seton Hall Pirates
No one believes me, this is a good basketball team no matter what conference they play in.
Davidson Wildcats (+2) cover vs. La Salle Explorers
No they aren’t what they were the last couple of years, but La Salle has never been any good…
Memphis Tigers (-23.5) cover vs. Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles
Tigers run this team out of the building, with little effort.
Ole Miss Rebels (pk) cover vs. Kansas State Wildcats
This Ole Miss team is playing complete basketball right now.
Texas A&M Aggies (-13.5) cover vs. Samford Bulldogs
Aggies are tough at home and should devour 0-3 Bulldogs.

Overall Record: 20-22-1
NBA Record: 13-17-1
NCAAB Record: 7-5
Phoenix Suns (-6) covers vs. New Orleans Hornets
Hornets are 4-8 and Chris Paul is out. The Suns are one of the best teams in the NBA, mismatch anyone?
Rider Broncs (+5) covers vs. Virginia Cavaliers
Ryan Thompson is the best player you don’t know. This is not an upset.
South Carolina Gamecocks (-7.5) covers vs. La Salle Explorers
Devan Downey will go to work against the Explorers. Can you really back a team called the Explorers? I say no.

Overall Record: 16-17-1
NBA Record: 11-13-1
NCAAB Record: 5-4
NBA:
Miami Heat (+7.5) covers vs. Atlanta Hawks
Wade and the Heat will battle the Hawks down to the wire in the division rivalry.
Oklahoma City Thunder (+12) covers vs. Orlando Magic
Magic without Jameer Nelson, expect Jason Williams to struggle in his place.
Cleveland Cavaliers (-4) covers vs. Washington Wizards
Both teams banged up, but only one team has LeBron…
Charlotte Bobcats/Philadelphia 76ers Under 186
These teams matchup with each other well defensively.
Houston Rockets/Minnesota Timberwolves Under 196
Timberwolves don’t score above 90, leading to the Under being 5-1 at home.
Toronto Raptors/Utah Jazz Over 209
I’m expecting a shootout here on into the 120’s or so.
College:
Florida Gators (-22) covers vs. Georgia Southern Eagles
Florida destroys an Eagles squad on short rest.
Cornell Big Red (-3) covers vs. UMass Minutemen
FYI, Cornell is the best Ivy League team in years.
Kent State Golden Flashes (-2) covers vs. Youngstown State Penguins
Despite last season’s hiccup, Kent State is a solid basketball school.

Overall Record: 14-14-1
NBA Record: 11-13-1
NCAAB Record: 3-1
Georgetown (-9) covers vs. Temple
Hoyas are back and Owls will have no answer inside for Greg Monroe.
Binghamton (+34) covers vs. Pitt
Panthers aren’t beating anyone right now by 35, as they struggled against Wofford.
Louisville (-10.5) covers vs. Arkansas
Hogs down to 8 players, Cards should run them to death.
Georgia (-3) covers vs. Wofford
Bulldogs down, but this is just no respect for an SEC team at home, even if Wofford played Pitt close.
Michigan State (-10.5) covers vs. Gonzaga
It says Gonzaga on the jersey, but you won’t recognize them…
